Abstract

Despite being useful, sound is also essential, and hearing is part of the five senses of the human body. Listening to the sound gives us a vast amount of information about what happened or is happening at the moment. It's difficult to imagine what it would be like to stop listening after we have experienced it. Since hearing is part of the five main senses of the human body, an idea of indispensability is soon established. Sound production is done in all ways, because even in the slightest movement we are producing sound. To interact with this object, there will be several ways to do it, even when opening or closing drawers. With our dissertation proposal we intended to make sound more visible, we intended to produce sound inside and outside the box. We intended to study the sound and its production. We wanted this project to serve the user to interact and create beats, melodies or whatever he/she wants. "Cook'up beats" is an interface that aims to enhance moments of creation, leisure and entertainment for the user. To interact and create with this object, you don't need any kind of musical knowledge and everyone can enjoy a good time with this musical creation instrument. It was conceived, as its name implies, to "cook beats", having the sounds you want to use for this effect. We can "cook a beat" in several ways, but the best way is if we really enjoy doing it. it. This dissertation reports the conceptualization, implementation and experimentation of the beat production interface, named "Cook'up beats".
