Plot outline: Deckard is a Blade Runner, a police man of the future who hunts down and terminates replicants, artificially created humans. He wants to get out of the force, but is drawn back in when 5 "skin jobs", a slang term for replicants, hijack a ship back to Earth. Comment: Fantastic sci-fi thriller about a mission to eliminate genetically engineered humans of superior strength and intelligence. Hauer is brilliant as one of these engineered humans whom "blade runner," Ford is trying to put a stop to. Touches of great film noir, coupled with dazzling effects, cinematography and an effective musical score by Vangelis.
