In a Nutshell

Service Science :>

A few things that you should know! We are currently working on Service Science. An interresting area with a lot to be done. Maybe someday the Internet of Services will "fly". Until them, you will have to use the Yellow Pages :) If you are interrested in BPM, meet some of the people behind Business Process world (Here). If you can, you should visit the beautiful island of Madeira (63 reasons to visit Madeira).

You can check my "Academia Web"

We already have a few papers on the topics:

Papers :)

A few "old" papers which were interesting in their time.

Jorge Cardoso, "The Semantic Web Vision: Where are We?" IEEE Intelligent Systems, September/October 2007, pp.22-26, 2007 (This is the original draft paper)

The most cited paper published by Web Semantics Journal, as of Oct 2006, was: Cardoso, J., Amit P. Sheth, John A. Miller, Jonathan Arnold, Krys J. Kochut. "Modeling Quality of Service for Workflows and Web Service Processes", Web Semantics Journal: Science, Services and Agents on the World Wide Web Journal, Elsevier, 2004. 1(3): p. 281-308.

Humour

"For humans, honesty is a matter of degree. Engineers are always honest in matters of technology and human relationships. That's why it's a good idea to keep engineers away from customers, romantic interests, and other people who can't handle the truth."

- Scott Adams, The Dilbert Principle

A riddle: "30 animals, each with 8 legs, walked 0.8 m to see something. What is it ?"

- What you find in the Internet is not always what you think it is.

A good researcher says, "Lets find out", others say "Nobody knows". When a good researcher makes a mistake, he says, I was wrong", others say "It wasn't my fault". A good researcher works harder than others and has more time. Others are always "too busy" to do what is necessary.
