I am an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Informatics Engineering of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra.
Most of my research has revolved around distributed systems, including topics such as cloud computing, publish/subscribe, peer-to-peer systems, and wireless ad hoc networks. In the last few years I was mostly focused on the dependability and scalability of cloud-native and microservices applications. I have also worked on neural networks in my M.Sc.
